At the heart of Christianity is the person of Jesus Christ

It could be said that Christianity is about responding appropriately to Jesus.

The problem is as one writer puts it ‘Whether through misinformation, wishful thinking, or prejudice — and sometimes all three — the Jesus of public imagination is often markedly different from the figure we find in our earliest sources.  Our assumptions prove misleading’.  By coming back to the bible week by week we aim to get to know the real Jesus.

When we do that we find Jesus is the most extraordinary person that ever lived.  We also find that he has enduring significance for our life now and in the future.
